Another good roll up with 18 players turning up to play cards and have diet-free food offered to them for supper. Cheryl Dove had a good night with a winning score of 3,270 to win the ladies. The mens was won by Jim Bond with a score of 2,630, and second place was Brian McLoughlan.
The lucky door prize was won by Lorna Thompson, also taking out the mystery number being 1,690, and Michael McGann won the mens. The best call of the night was 8 clubs (260) shared by a few players.
That snake was again up to his tricks with Michael McGann and Betty McLoughlan losing 8 hearts (300) on the last hand of the night. Jackpot did not go off.
Now, to our cup of tea and coffee. We had a pizza, party pies, sausage rolls, lamingtons, snowballs and a huge pav with 16 egg whites in the pav, and yes, people next day seem to forget about their sugar level (me included).
Three weeks to go before we cease for Christmas.
