Clubs Give Generously

Murray Haven was thrilled to receive a donation from the Barham Golf Bowls Club and Barham Services Bowling Club. Two cheques were presented to Murray Haven Homes CEO Gary Kairn from the respective club representatives Alan Thomas and Peter Orr. 

“Donations are a vital source of income for us as they allow Murray Haven to undertake works not funded under normal recurrent funding,” said Mr Kairn.

“We always take the opportunity to look at amounts donated and apply them to a specific need or project.  They do not end up in consolidated revenue as we like to be able to show those who make donations where the money is spent.

“The impact of COVID-19 has impacted some of our works, but when we are able to, we will look at some of our outdoor plans we will allocate these funds.

“Murray Haven is a key member of the community and we appreciate the assistance provided.  I am continually amazed at the community spirit displayed towards us.”

This may be the last time we see Barham Golf Bowls Club and Barham Services Bowling Club providing separate donations, as the clubs will be soon amalgamated, sharing the new all-weather facilities under construction at cluBarham on Murray St.
