Christmas At Bar-Rook Field & Game

Bar-rook Field and Game Association.

On behalf of our club, Bar-Rook Field & Game, we would like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous new year.  Thank you all for your ongoing support.

Our Christmas shoot is done and dusted and that is now a wrap-up of 2022 for us. December 11 saw the number of targets on offer for our novelty shoot having to be reduced to 72. This came about as our flood waters still have not receded enough and was limiting our space available for the course. However, this didn’t deter the joy of 78 shooters heading out for a fun day in anticipation of taking home prizes of a ham, turkey or chook.

Our generous sponsors help provide for all the wares on offer, kindly being Foodworks Barham, N.J. Kitchens, Archard’s Hydraulics and Gas and T.A.C.S. Contracting. Thank you, sponsors. Don’t forget to support those that support us.

Many hands make for light work, and this was the case with the course setters on Saturday. Great to see so many bods pop on out and lend a hand setting up and packing up. Thank you, guys, job well done.

The ladies in the office and kitchen were kept busy throughout the day. Thank you, ladies, for the day and every other day that you give up to help.

We aim to please at Bar-Rook and when the compliments come through that you all love coming out, that you enjoyed your day and that we are a welcoming, family orientated club, that makes it all worthwhile.  Let’s continue being that club.

Christmas shoot is an OTG day awarding High Gun, 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each category, together with a Mystery Drawn Partners placing 1-20. Results of were:

Not to forget our Club Champion competition. As no juniors qualified this year, we only awarded our Senior Club Champion, being LEE LEWIS. Congratulations, Lee – an excellent effort.

If you happen to know of any juniors that are wanting to come on out but can’t get here, or are hesitant to come out, please encourage them, bring them out and let them have a go. See what entails. They are our up and comings for the future.
