Catherine Continues Success at State Level

The Victorian Agricultural Shows 2024 State Convention was held in Kaniva on the weekend. Delegates from agricultural shows across the state attended the convention, taking part in workshops and tours held throughout the weekend.

Winners of several competitions held at district level across Victoria competed at state level, including Northern District Agricultural Shows’ Catherine Rosewall representing Kerang Show in the Carrot Cake Competition and Paige O’Connell representing the Cohuna Show in the Junior Show Ambassador.

Catherine took out second place with her carrot cake, which had to follow a set recipe, while Paige was interviewed by a judging panel and spoke to the convention audience but did not get a place.

Other state finalists in the Victorian Agricultural Shows competitions from the Northern District Agricultural Shows finals held in May will compete at the Melbourne Royal Show later this year.
