The Cohuna District Hospital has received $9,600 towards its acute and aged care renovations after a donation was received from the now defunct Mead Hall Indoor Bowling Club.
After 50 years, the bowling club wound up, holding a farewell dinner late last year, and outgoing members decided to pass on any remaining funds to the hospital. Last Thursday, March 14, five of those members attended the hospital to make the presentation.
Director Clinical Services, Wendy Lunghusen, said the donation would go towards furnishing and fittings for the new build.
