Yes, we are hoping to run a show this year. It does depend on our old friend COVID-19, but hopefully many people will be vaccinated by October and it will be safe to run a full show. Several local shows are running but on a restricted basis. Our show in the springtime should be okay to run as a full show.

Of course, as always, a show does not happen by itself. We need people to do the planning and work up until the time and also to work during the show as well. This work can be a very big load for a few people or a series of small jobs for a lot of people. The last few shows have been the former position, where a dedicated few have had a very big job, but the committee is getting older and tired and we need fresh faces and ideas to make a successful Show. This is the chance to not only entertain, but to show off our local community skills and produce. It is after all, the Pastoral, Agricultural and Horticultural Show. We do need support from the farming and business community to run the show. The Annual General Meeting of the Show Committee will be held next Tuesday, March 16 at the show office at 8pm. Please come along and help us in some small way to get the show on the road.
