Barham Golf Club Weekly Roundup: June 4, 2020

Ladies’ Events:

Wednesday 27th of May event was 4BBB Stroke Knockout Qualifier.

The winners and runners up were Jane Wall & Helen Tonkin with 61 net and Wendy Bennett & Glenis Sheldrick with 64 net.

The Ball Rundown went to 69 net.

Saturday 30th of May was a round of Stableford.

The winner on the day was Lisa Hyne (28) returning 37 points ahead of an unlucky Alice Corbett (27) also on 37 points.

30 points or better was needed for the Ball Rundown.

Men’s Events:

On Thursday 28th the event was Stableford.

Div 1 winners were Greg Stevens (8) 40 points just shading Doug McNight (5) on 39 points.

Div 2 was won by Bas Be Bondt (15) who had a day out returning 44 points from John Griffin (17) with 39 points.

DIV 3 winner was Chris Veldman (25) finishing on 40 points from Paul Madden (30) who also had 40 points.

The ball run went to 35 points.

Saturday 30th May was Men’s 4BBB Stroke Knockout Qualifier.

The winners on the day were Greg Sutton/Warren Sutton (13) with 62 net followed by George Sholl/ Gordon Graeme (21) with 63 net and in 3rd Ian Bennett/Geoff May (10) returning 65 net.

71 or better was needed for the ball rundown.

Sunday 31st Event was Mixed Medley.

A field of 33 players enjoyed the competition on Sunday.

Div 1 winner was Kerran Leetham (13) with a terrific round of 42 points ahead of Jane Wall (+1) who shot a tremendous 6 under to finish with 41 points. 

Div 2 Winner Bruce Venn (19) scored a solid 38 points to finish ahead of Jacob Barrington (23) on 35 points.

31 or better scored a ball on the day.
