Solar Appointed A Grade Cricket Captain

The Barham Koondrook Cricket Club (BKCC), a vital part of the Swan Hill District Cricket Association, continues to thrive in regional cricket, led by young talent Hayden Solar for the 2025/26 season. Since joining last summer, Hayden has been a crucial member of the River Raiders, blending strategic cricket knowledge with sharp intuition about the game. His leadership aims to boost the team and develop future BKCC leaders. Based in Koondrook, the club aims to use Barham cricket facilities. BKCC has built a lively cricket community through initiatives like Woolworths Cricket Blast for kids, active junior leagues, and competitive senior teams in A, B, and C grades. After reaching a momentous A-Grade Grand Final in the 2024-25 season, the club is keen for an even better 2025-26 season, focusing on nurturing local talent. Hayden Solar has become a key figure in BKCC’s successes. Known for his powerful batting and quick fielding, Solar energises the River Raiders, the club’s senior team, whether steadying the innings with composed play or smashing quick boundaries. Off the field, Solar’s dedication to coaching juniors at BKCC’s training sessions exemplifies the club’s core values of community, mentorship, and growth.
