Wow, that was a big day. Our first game for the year and a home game at that saw a huge crowd in attendance, plus mother nature was on her best behaviour, which helped big time! Unfortunately, a late start to the Senior game due to a horrific injury to a Nyah Reserves player during their game. He could not be moved due to the injury, which resulted in an ambulance being required. Due to the local ambulance being unavailable, it was a bit of a wait for another to arrive; eventually, it did. The Raiders club send their best wishes to the player involved. Also, a special thanks to the training personnel from both clubs who handled the situation very well to make the player comfortable! Not the ideal way to start the year off.
