Last Friday night saw the conclusion of the 2024 Central Victoria Football League Under 12 girls’ season with the grand final between Kerang Warra Blues and Birchip.
Birchip had the home game advantage, with the girls being lucky enough to play under the brand-new lights on Birchip Recreation Reserve.
As the game started, so did the rain, and continued throughout the night. Both teams put up a great fight, with the young girls playing fierce with determination and skill.
Warra Blues were first to get a goal on the board and kept Birchip from scoring till after half time. Warra Blues lead throughout the game, coming out on top and winning by two goals.
