Students at Koondrook Primary School put on their creative hats recently when they were asked to produce a piece of writing or a poem about what Anzac Day means to them. The idea was put to the Year 6 students by the Koondrook RSL and the Murrabit Lions Club, and RSL Members Rob Forbes and Gary Napier judged the work. Mr Forbes and Mr Napier talked to the class about Anzac Day and the importance of our continued support as a community, before announcing the winners, saying it had been “a tough decision” due to the quality of every entrant’s work.
