I was enjoying a walk along the Loddon River near Kerang and glanced at the end of a dead branch of a tree. I looked again because the branch did not seem quite right. Sure enough, my second glance revealed a Tawny Frogmouth bird pretending to be the end of a broken branch!

The Tawny Frogmouth is a master of camouflage. The bird’s strategy is to si
