WAKOOL

On Tuesday the 8th of July 2025, Detectives from Swan Hill travelled to the Wakool New South Wales area with the assistance of NSW Police, where they arrested a 34-year-old male for a serious assault on a 33 year old male and 17 year old male, that occurred in the early hours of Sunday the 29th of June 2025 near the Swan Hill Bridge.

The male was taken to Albury Magistrates Court and extradited back to Victoria where he was remanded into custody at Wodonga Police Station to appear in court a later date.   He was Charged with Recklessly Causing Serious Injury and other assault related charges.  The assault was captured on CCTV footage. 

The 33-year-old victim received significant injuries requiring hospitalisation in Melbourne.

GANNAWARRA

Camper trailer theft: Between 7 and 9 am on Sunday the 13th of July, a 2023 MDC Explorer camper trailer was stolen whilst the owners were away from their Red Rise Track campsite outside Leitchville. The camper had been secured to the vehicle, but offenders appear to have cut the lock.

ROBINVALE

Damage: Just after midnight on Wednesday the 9th of July, offenders have attended school grounds and smashed one window and attempted to break further.

SWAN HILL

Burglary: Between 3pm and 4.30pm on Wednesday the 9th of July, offenders have forced entry to a home in Chapman Street Swan Hill. The offenders have stolen various items including a number of wrist and pocket watches.

Motorcycle recovered: On Saturday the 12th of July, police observed a motorcycle with no registration plates travelling in the Lake Boga area. The rider of the bike appears to have stalled, allowing the police to speak to the 37 year old man rider from the Geelong area. The bike was said to be stolen from a burglary in Swan Hill, in late June. The male was charged with several offences and bailed to attend court at a later date.

BULOKE

Burglary: Between July 4 and 6, offenders have forced entry to a building located off Mackies Road Wycheproof. At this stage, it appears there has been nothing stolen.

Theft from motor vehicle: Between 3.30pm on Monday the 7th of July and 7am the following morning, offenders have attended a recreation area off the Charlton Swan Hill Road, Bunguluke. Diesel, radios and a computer tablet were stolen from heavy vehicles at that location.

Trailer theft: Between July 6 and 10, offenders have attended a property in Wescotts Road, Yeungroon and stolen a blue box trailer and 1300l water tank.
