GANNAWARRA

Cohuna 

  •     On January 20, the driver of a Ford Falcon sedan left his vehicle on the Murray Valley Hwy, west of Cohuna due to mechanical problems. During the night, offender/s have attended at this vehicle, stolen the registration plates and smashed the driver’s side window to gain entry to vehicle. It appears that a child’s toy had also been stolen. Please endeavour to recover your vehicle quickly if possible. 
  •     On January 19, offender/s have entered a dairy farm along the Leitchville Kerang Road. Offender/s have stolen a Honda quad bike, a portable calf feeder trailer and an electric fence unit. Police would appreciate further info re this crime. 
  •     On January 20, Victorian Fisheries Officers and police attended at Goat Island along Gunbower Creek. Police spoke to two male offenders who had shot numerous galahs and prepared same for human consumption. A .22 rifle, fitted with a silencer was also located in vehicle. (Galahs are protected. Silencers are prohibited, unless authorised.) Police and VFA officers will interview the two offenders and issue a summons to appear in court.

Kerang

  •     Between January 16 and 19, the victim had his vehicle parked on Andrew Street, Kerang. Offender/s have attended and removed the front plate from the vehicle.  
  •     On January 12, a female shopper, together with her two young children, attended a local supermarket in Kerang. The female attended the meat and frozen food section, where she placed items in a concealed area of the pram. She then purchased other items and cigarettes, not paying for concealed items. Police have CCTV footage of incident and witnesses to event. She will be facing court soon. 
  •     Highway Patrol intercepted two drink drivers, one in Kerang and another in Swan Hill. They will be walking.
