Nurse Sue Kidd who was on duty at a local hospital on a bleak winter’s evening and she recounts a story of a patient, “I stood in the nurses station on the seventh floor and glanced at the clock. It was 9.00pm. I threw a stethoscope around my neck and headed for room 712 which had a new patient, Mr Williams. A man strangely silent about his family”.
