Another good roll up with 12 players doing battle to take home the money and have a friendly chat. Well, sometimes anyway.
Gwen Campbell was back to her best, easily winning the ladies’ with a score of 3240, closely followed by Sheila Joss.
The men’s was won by Doug Billman, (also reaching the 3000 mark), but then went one better with a score of 3320 and won the Lucky Door.
The Mystery Number was won by Gracie Craddock, and that tired one in Michael McGann. The best call of the night was Sheila Joss and Tiger Des Shelley. The club voted that we are going to the Barham Club for Chinese on the first Wednesday in September for lunch. There will be strict instructions for no 90-year-olds to be dancing on the tables. We have a couple of sickies at the moment.
