As patrons enter cluBarham, they are greeted by an impressive display celebrating the cosmos, emphasising the splendour of the southern skies. The 24-piece exhibition features the best entries from the 2024 David Malin Awards, sponsored by CSIRO Space and Astronomy, held annually at the Central West Astronomical Society in Parkes, NSW. Tom Cottingham remarked, “It is great to have exhibitions like this locally.”  The competition motivates photographers to apply their vision, creativity, and skills to produce inspiring and beautiful sky images. There are eight award categories, judged by a panel of three: Alex Cherney, Selena Simpson, and Peter Ward. Be sure to visit the exhibition in the coming weeks before it departs.
