As you may remember, on the previous weekend, we ventured down the unlovely, dead-end road to the rubbish dump. Grey and sad, and hard… Now, this past weekend, we once again took the turn that eventually does lead to the dump—but we went way up and beyond! This time, we knew to take the right-hand fork at a certain point, and the way led through delightful buckwheat gardens, blushed pink with flowers, and healthy crops of sticky millet, tiny villages, pine trees and grassy meadows. Up beyond, to clear blue skies, pristine air, sharply clear Himalayan views and eagles soaring the updrafts.
