A Miraculous Rescue…

We hear a lot about submarines in recent times because of Australia’s decision to buy nuclear powered submarines under the terms of the AUKUS deal.  Australia has owned and used various submarines for military service for many decades now. Some of the earlier submarines were of the Oberon class and I am reminded of this regularly because a de-commissioned 90 metre long Oberon is on display at the town of Holbrook, just off the Hume Freeway north of Albury which I, and thousands of other people, have observed.
